Santa Troll

Here's my finished piece for the Santa brief. I changed up the Coca Cola picture by painting a more 'cartoon-like' Santa, made his face a troll face and changed the Coca Cola bottle into a Pepsi bottle.

UPATED:

I updated the original painting to give his teeth a yellow tint and lightened the colour of his skin so it doesn't look burnt. I also removed the text, but the text can easily be reapplied. I'm happier with this outcome than the previous versions as his teeth stand out more and his skin doesn't look sun burnt to a crisp. His cheeky smile shines through better with these corrections I feel.

Santa Sketches

Here are my sketches for the santa brief. I decided I wanted to go along the lines of the classical picture of Santa drinking from the glass bottle of Coca Cola, but mix it up a bit.

Plane Crashes into Madison Square Garden

Crash scene during day time

Crash scene during night time

I'm quite happy with the outcome of this as everything looks like it is on the same level due to perspective. However, the survivor looks like he is floating a little due to a mixture of perspective distortion and the fact that you can't see his feet touching the floor. But like I said, I'm quite happy with the end result.

3D basic shot of the scene. Featuring survivor fleeing scene, sky scraper, hotel and MSG.

Plane Crash Mood Board

Here's my mood board for the plane crash in New York brief. My plan is to have a low camera angle looking slightly up at the survivor in the foreground, with the skyscraper and large building in the mid ground which you can see in the top left image. With MSG in the background, with a plane crashed into it which is burning and has caused great damage to New York's sports arena.
